to Another is a non-profit organization founded
in 1979
by Duane & Joanne Smith.
One to Another encourages
unhurried healing to bring back into focus from the blur of pain confusion
and bewilderment caused by loss.
- We endeavor to train people to minister to those walking through
loss in churches and in the market place so that the broken hearted
can receive hope. One to Another ministers to both the hurting
and those people who love them.
- Joanne (Smith) Petrie, a nationally certified bereavement facilitator,
hospice chaplain, counselor, author, radio host and teacher, is founder
and director of One to Another, a nonprofit organization based
in Portland, Oregon. Joanne has been teaching her own Grief Release
series since 1985 following the death of her late husband. She has produced
the Grief Release video series and coauthored How to Say Goodbye:
Working Through Personal Grief. One to Another has a committed
volunteer core group who provide prayer support, donations, and other
help as needed for those in need.

Joanne (Smith) Petrie and Ron Petrie are available for one
day seminars/classes on grief; and speaking engagements to churches, groups,
and individuals concerned with helping people work through the grieving
process.
